This weekend delivered plenty of storylines on the court before most of the Texas Panhandle turns their eyes towards district play. From Amarillo High staying unbeaten in District 3-5A, to Lubbock-Cooper and Coronado picking up key wins, to Liberty closing out non-district play with momentum, teams are starting to separate themselves as contenders.

Week 2 of the TXHSFB season kicks off tonight, and the excitement across the Texas Panhandle and South Plains is only building. Teams that made statements in their openers look to keep the momentum rolling, while others are eager to bounce back and grab that first win of the year. Rivalries, road trips, and plenty of small-town pride highlight the slate, setting the stage for another unforgettable weekend of Friday night lights.
