The Lady Tigers opened the 2025 season last night on their home court, taking on Abilene Wylie and Randall.


After a hard-fought 3-1 loss to a talented Abilene Wylie squad, Frenship bounced back in a big way, knocking off the defending 4A State Finalist Randall Lady Raiders 3-1 to close out the night.

Lady Pirates Open 2025 Season with Sweep of Estacado

The Lubbock-Cooper Lady Pirates started their season in dominant fashion Tuesday night, sweeping Estacado 3-0 at home. Set scores were 25-16, 25-8, and 25-12.


Junior setter Broox Lopez set the tone with 17 assists, 7 aces, and 4 digs, while Maisen Daniel added 8 kills, 2 aces, and a block. Clara Pesterfield anchored the defense with 11 digs and chipped in 4 aces, and Konli Johnston contributed 6 digs and 3 kills. Haley McCallick also had a strong showing with 6 kills.


Amarillo High knocks off West Plains


The Amarillo High Sandies made the short trip across town last night to open the season and made a statement on night one of the season with a 3-1 win over the West Plains Lady Wolves. (25-20, 22-25, 25-22, 25-13)


Andrews Battles Odessa Permian in Five-Set Thriller


The Andrews Lady Mustangs went toe-to-toe with 6A powerhouse Odessa Permian on Tuesday night, ultimately falling in a hard-fought five-set match (25-23, 16-25, 25-17, 16-25, 12-25).


Rylan Newbrough led the offensive attack with 15 kills, followed by Addy Baeza with 12 and Emma Sauceda with 7. At the net, Tobi Hinson recorded 3 blocks, while Kyra O’Connor, Newbrough, Taylor Lowder, and Sauceda each added to the block column.


Sauceda also dished out 22 assists, with Anah Bueno contributing 20. On the defensive side, Danlee Fisher anchored the back row with 24 digs, joined by Newbrough and Macie Miller with 16 apiece.

From the service line, Sauceda tallied 2 aces, while Bueno and Fisher each added 1.


The Lady Mustangs showed toughness throughout the night, pushing Permian to the limit and setting the tone for a competitive season ahead.


Randall Battles Tough Competition in Season Opener

The Lady Raiders opened their season on the road at Frenship last night, facing off against both the Lady Tigers and the Wylie Bulldogs. While Randall came up short in both matches (3-1), fans still have plenty to be excited about. This veteran squad showed flashes of the gritty defense and power at the net that have fueled back-to-back State Tournament runs, early signs they’ve got what it takes to make another deep push in 2025.

The Lady Cougars battled their way to a hard-fought victory over the Eagles, pulling away in the deciding set to take the match 3-2.

The Frenship Memorial Panthers are in the win column for the very first time! In just their debut season, the Panthers notch their first volleyball victory in school history with a program sweep over Friona.


Lubbock-Cooper Liberty went on the road to take on Midland and came away with a hard-fought 5-set victory! (27-25, 18-25, 17-25, 25-23, 15-10)


Denver City defended their home court knocking off Levelland in straight sets (25-23, 25-17, 25-13)


Shallowater got the home sweep of Lubbock Coronado 3-0


Bushland sweeps Canyon at home 3-0


Idalou lost on the road to Abilene High 2-1


Fritch sweeps River Road (25-16, 25-23, 25,21)


Southland gets their first win in program history with the 2-1 win over Wilson


Talkington won their first UIL game with a 3-0 sweep of Borden County (We will update as more scores are sent in.
