District 3-5A
The playoff picture in District 3-5A is starting to take shape as the regular season winds down. Amarillo High remains unbeaten and is on the cusp of clinching a postseason berth after another dominant performance this weekend. Tascosa continues to keep pace, setting up an October 14th showdown with the Sandies that will likely decide the District Championship. In one of the most competitive matches of the weekend, the Lubbock-Cooper Lady Pirates went on the road and outlasted Coronado in a five-set thriller (25-22, 22-25, 24-26, 25-21, 15-10)
The win pushes the Lady Pirates to 19-10 overall and 7-3 in district, keeping them in the drivers seat for the playoffs. Next up, theyâll host Plainview on Tuesday.
