Milestones and Momentum: Randall, Amarillo High Stay Perfect as Bliss Dane, Emma Sauceda and Coach Gibson Make History

It was a weekend full of milestones, statement wins, and playoff positioning across the Panhandle and South Plains. Frenship’s Bliss Dane notched her 1,000th career kill, Amarillo High stayed unbeaten in district, and Randall continued its perfect run with another sweep. Tascosa, Coronado, West Plains, and Hereford all added key victories, while Andrews celebrated a program sweep and Emma Sauceda reached 1,500 career assists. Canyon bounced back strong, San Angelo Lake View and Big Spring battled through tight matches, and Frenship Memorial head coach Whitney Gibson earned her 100th career win. From 6A through 3A, the intensity of district play is ramping up and this weekend made it clear the playoff push is officially on.



Andrews Sweeps Pecos — Program Clean Sweep


The Andrews Lady Mustangs dominated Pecos on Saturday, rolling to a 3-0 victory (25-6, 25-12, 25-13). The JV and Freshman squads also won in straight sets, giving Andrews a full program sweep.

The Frenship Tigers stayed hot this weekend, defeating San Angelo Central in straight sets (25-21, 25-22, 25-21). The win moves Frenship to 22-12 overall and 2-0 in district play.

The Randall Lady Raiders kept their unbeaten district record intact on Saturday, sweeping Pampa 25-21, 25-18, 25-17. The win improves Randall to 15-11 overall and 6-0 in district play.

Frenship Memorial Sweeps Estacado — Coach Gibson Earns Career Win No. 100


The Frenship Memorial Lady Panthers rolled to a sweep of Lubbock Estacado on Friday night (25-20, 25-14, 25-10). The win was extra special, as head coach Whitney Gibson celebrated her 100th career coaching victory with her team.


Lake View Outlasts Snyder in Five


San Angelo Lake View pulled off a gritty road win, edging Snyder in a five-set thriller (25-23, 25-21, 12-25, 13-25, 17-15). The Maidens weathered Snyder’s comeback after dropping the third and fourth sets, rallying in the fifth to secure the win.


Big Spring Tops Levelland in Four


Big Spring earned a key district win on Saturday, defeating Levelland in four sets (25-19, 21-25, 25-21, 27-25). The Lady Steers held on in a dramatic fourth set to close the match and even their district record.
