District volleyball action across the Panhandle and South Plains brought plenty of drama Tuesday night. Randall grabbed a statement win over previously unbeaten West Plains, while Amarillo High closed out the first half of district play undefeated. In Class 4A, Liberty stayed on top, Frenship Memorial kept pace, and teams like Andrews, Dumas, Snyder, and Hereford all notched key victories. In Class 3A, Shallowater and Dalhart each rolled to dominant sweeps as teams start to make their push for the playoffs!


Frenship Outlasts Midland in 5-Set Thriller


The Frenship Tigers battled through a back-and-forth five-set match, knocking off Midland High 25-16, 24-26, 25-22, 16-25, 16-14. With the win, Frenship improves to 21-12 overall and 1-0 in district play. The Tigers are back in action Friday at 6 p.m. at home against San Angelo Central.

Sandies Sweep to Stay Perfect in District

The Amarillo High Sandies took care of business in Lubbock, sweeping Lubbock-Cooper 25-16, 25-19, 25-13 to close out the first half of district play undefeated. AHS now sits at 22-9 on the season and a perfect 8-0 in district.

Tascosa Sweeps Coronado

The Tascosa Lady Rebels went on the road Tuesday night and came away with a sweep of Coronado, 25-20, 25-18, 25-14. With the win, Tascosa wraps up the first half of district play in sole possession of 2nd place in district 1 game back of the Sandies.

Monterey Sweeps Palo Duro


The Lubbock Monterey Lady Plainsmen handled business Tuesday night, sweeping Palo Duro 25-21, 25-18, 25-18. The win gives Monterey momentum heading into a big matchup with crosstown rival Coronado on Saturday afternoon.


Plainview Takes Down Lubbock High in Four


The Plainview Lady Bulldogs picked up a key district win Tuesday night, defeating Lubbock High 25-23, 23-25, 25-10, 25-7. The victory keeps Plainview in the mix heading into the back half of district play.

Liberty Dominates on the Road

The Liberty Patriots went on the road Tuesday night and rolled past San Angelo Lake View in straight sets, 25-12, 25-6, 25-7. The win keeps the Patriots rolling as they continue district play.

Frenship Memorial Stays Hot in District Play

Frenship Memorial picked up another key district victory Tuesday night, defeating Big Spring 25-23, 20-25, 25-21, 25-22. The Lady Panthers improve to 19-7 overall and 3-1 in district, staying just a game back of Liberty in the standings. Big Spring falls to 10-13 and 2-3.

Snyder Battles Back to Defeat Estacado

The Randall Raiders protected home court at the House of Doom on Tuesday night, taking down West Plains in four sets (21-25, 25-19, 25-22, 25-20). The win keeps Randall unbeaten in district play at 5-0 and moves their overall record to 14-11. The Raiders will try to keep the momentum rolling on Saturday when they travel to face Pampa.

The Shallowater Lady Mustangs opened district play in dominant fashion, sweeping Tulia 25-8, 25-8, 25-10. With the win, Shallowater moves to 22-9 overall and 1-0 in district, while Tulia falls to 10-7 and 0-1.
