DISTRICT RACES HEAT UP, HISTORY IS MADE AND 3-5A DELIVERS AGAIN! šš„
Another loaded weekend of volleyball across West Texas brought big matches, big milestones and plenty of movement in the district races.
District 3-5A was once again front and center as Tascosa went on the road and swept Lubbock Cooper to remain atop the district race, Amarillo High kept pace with a dominant sweep of Monterey, and Frenship took care of Coronado in straight sets. Frenship Memorial also rallied past Lubbock High in four on a special Pink Out night that raised more than $2,000 for the Greer family.
New Home made program history with its first district win, Randall stayed alone atop District 4-4A, Canyon moved to 7-1 in district, and West Plains improved to 6-2.

MEMORIAL RALLIES PAST LUBBOCK HIGH ON A NIGHT BIGGER THAN VOLLEYBALL! šš©·
Frenship Memorial dropped the opening set to Lubbock High, but the Lady Panthers responded by winning three straight to close out the four set victory. Makenzie Ivy led the attack with 15 kills, while Jovi Phillips added 11 and Mercedez Rodriguez finished with 23 assists and 12 digs.

But the best part of the night had nothing to do with the final score. It was Memorialās Pink Out, and Coach Gibson was a great sport, getting covered in silly string as part of an effort to raise money for Erin Greer, a Ropes mom currently battling breast cancer. The Memorial community stepped up in a big way, raising more than $2,000 for the Greer family!

TASCOSA WINS THE DISTRICT SHOWDOWN ON WOODROW! šš„
Tascosa and Lubbock Cooper entered Friday night with plenty on the line, and the opening set immediately lived up to the billing. The Lady Pirates pushed the District 3-5A leaders to extra points, but Tascosa escaped 26-24 and carried that momentum through the next two sets to complete the road sweep.
Presley Ward led Tascosa with 10 kills and 11 digs, while Emily Caviness added 15 digs. For Cooper, Evie Vaughn put down a match high 11 kills and Lindsay Haynes added 9 kills.

Frenship took care of business against Coronado, but the Lady Mustangs made the Tigers work for it. Frenship grabbed the first two sets before Coronado pushed the third to the wire, with the Tigers finishing it off 25-23 to complete the sweep.
Reese Roberts turned in another strong all around performance with 14 kills and 14 digs, while Campbell Wilson anchored the back row with 21 digs.

Amarillo High left little doubt against Monterey, jumping out quickly and never letting the Lady Plainsmen get comfortable. The Lady Sandies allowed just 35 total points across three sets to pick up the sweep and remain right in the thick of the race atop District 3-5A.
Harper Vaughan led the attack with 10 kills and 3 blocks, while Dillan Ray handed out 24 assists and Anzley Davis anchored the back row with 15 digs.

Lubbock Cooper Liberty left no doubt against Estacado, racing through the first two sets 25-6, 25-6 before finishing off the sweep 25-11. The Lady Patriots hit .416 as a team with 40 kills and piled up 16 aces in a dominant performance.
Ryleigh Conner led the attack with 12 kills while hitting .688, and Karson Killham handed out 22 assists. Ella Hurst was tough from the service line with six aces.

Hereford came out swinging and grabbed the opening set 25-23, but Canyon responded. The Lady Eagles won three straight sets, pulling out a pair of battles in the second and third before taking control 25-14 in the fourth to finish off the district victory.
