Week 6 brings the biggest open date of the Texas high school football season, with 450 of the state’s 1,511 teams off, nearly 30%. While many programs rest and reset, several marquee showdowns headline the schedule. Liberty travels to Midland to face Greenwood in what will be their toughest test yet. West Plains is looking for redemption on the road against Argyle Liberty after last year’s setback. In the small-school ranks, Wall makes the trip to Idalou, while a clash of unbeatens features Coahoma squaring off with Littlefield under the lights. Even with so many teams idle, Week 6 is packed with games that could reshape the landscape across West Texas.
