As the final week of the regular season unfolds, the stakes couldn’t be higher across the South Plains and Panhandle. District championships are being claimed, playoff spots are tightening, and teams are making their final statements before the postseason begins.


🏐 Fillies Clinch District Championship! 🏆

The Shallowater Fillies locked up the District 2-3A Championship Tuesday night with a statement sweep over Idalou (25-22, 25-17, 25-21). The Fillies improved to 31-9 overall and 9-0 in district, continuing their dominant run as one of the top programs in West Texas. 🔥

Carlie Buckley: 14 kills, 3 digs, 2 blocks

Emma Clawson: 13 kills, 3 digs

Aniston Vanatta: 22 assists, 5 digs

Jaci Fenter: 12 assists, 7 digs

Jorja McGuire: 10 digs, 3 kills, 3 assists


The Fillies will close out the regular season Saturday against Talkington before turning their attention to the postseason.


District 4-4A


🐺 Lady Wolves Roll ~ Setting Up a Showdown for the District Title 🏐


The West Plains Lady Wolves kept their momentum rolling Tuesday night, sweeping Dumas 25-20, 25-17, 25-17 to improve to 29-11 overall. The victory sets up a massive district finale this Saturday as the Lady Wolves take on Canyon for at least a share of the District 4-4A Championship. 


West Plains Leaders:


Aaniyah Kitchen: 10 kills, 2 blocks

Kynzie Ward: 8 kills, 2 blocks

Bella Wineberg: 16 assists

Cecilia Murillo: 13 assists, 13 digs

Idaly Sotelo: 13 digs, 2 aces

Despite the loss, Dumas battled tough behind another solid night from their front line, moving to 20-19 overall and 7-6 in district.

🏐 Eagles Soar Past Borger ~ Setting Up a Showdown for the Title 🦅


The Canyon Lady Eagles kept their momentum rolling Tuesday night with a sweep of Borger, 25-15, 25-20, 25-19. Canyon improves to 17-14 overall and 8-2 in district, staying firmly in the hunt for a district championship.

With West Plains also picking up a win last night, it sets up a massive regular-season finale on Saturday, Canyon and West Plains will square off for at least a share of the District 4-4A title.

The Randall Lady Raiders bounced back in a big way Tuesday night, sweeping Pampa 25-13, 25-18, 25-15 to improve to 23-12 overall and 9-2 in district. Randall looked sharp from start to finish, using a balanced attack and strong back-row play to control the match.

Amber Matthews: 13 kills

Nevaeh Conner: 11 kills, 4 aces

Benett Moore: 31 assists, 3 aces

The Lady Raiders will look to carry that momentum into their regular-season finale as playoff positioning comes into focus.


District 3-4A


🏐 Lady Mustangs Bounce Back ~ One Win Away from a District Title 


After a heartbreaking five-set loss on Friday and losing their starting setter prior to the match, the Andrews Lady Mustangs showed their resilience Tuesday night, sweeping Fort Stockton on the road (25-17, 25-19, 25-13). The win moves Andrews to 8-1 in district play, moving them a step closer to their district championship goals.

Addy Baeza: 7 kills, 1 block, 3 digs

The Lady Mustangs will close out the regular season Friday at home against Monahans at 5 PM, where a win would secure their first District Championship since 2017. 


District 3-5A


🏐 Lady Rebels Roll Past Palo Duro, Lock in 2nd Place 🔥


The Tascosa Lady Rebels continued their impressive run through District 3-5A, sweeping Palo Duro in straight sets (25-11, 25-14, 25-20). The win moves Tascosa to 24-10 overall and 11-2 in district, officially locking up 2nd place in the standings heading into the postseason.

Molly Mitchell: 5 kills

Bennet Berryman: 16 digs

Libby Miller: 11 assists


The Lady Rebels will close out the regular season Friday night at home against Coronado before turning their focus to the playoffs.


🏐 Lady Pirates Take Down Monterey, Eye Showdown with Amarillo High 


The Lubbock-Cooper Lady Pirates continued their strong finish to district play, defeating Monterey in four sets (23-25, 25-13, 25-14, 25-23). The win moves Cooper to 23-11 overall and 11-4 in district, looking to lock in the 5A-D2 #1 playoff seed heading into the final weekend of the regular season.

The Lady Pirates now turn their attention to a massive road matchup at Amarillo High on Saturday, with playoff positioning on the line.

The Lubbock Coronado Lady Mustangs handled business Tuesday night, defeating Lubbock High 25-14, 25-18, 23-25, 25-21. The Westerners pushed hard in sets three and four, but Coronado closed strong to secure the win and keep pace in the district race.

🏐 Lady Eagles Sweep West Texas ~ District Title on the Line Friday 🔥


The Sanford-Fritch Lady Eagles stayed perfect in district play Tuesday night, earning a commanding 3-set sweep over West Texas  (29-27, 25-20, 25-15). The win moves Fritch to 5-0 in district and 17-8 overall, setting up a huge matchup Friday with Vega for the District Championship.
