Panhandle secured its spot on the biggest stage in Texas high school basketball with a hard fought 41–37 victory over Wellington, completing a three game season sweep of the Lady Rockets.

In a matchup between two familiar foes, every possession mattered. The Ettes leaned on their defensive toughness and late game composure to close it out.

Riley Segura led the way with 13 points, stepping up in key moments when Panhandle needed offense.

Wellington battled throughout. Ceighley Killian was the only Lady Rocket in double figures with 12 points before fouling out in the fourth quarter. Her presence kept Wellington within striking distance deep into the game, but Panhandle’s defense held firm down the stretch.

With the win, the Ettes advance to the State Tournament carrying momentum, confidence, and the experience of winning tight games in March.

Panhandle is State bound.
