CANYON — The Panhandle Ettes put together one of their most complete performances of the postseason Thursday night, using a balanced offensive attack and disciplined defense to defeat Abernathy 61–39.

Rather than relying on one dominant scorer, Panhandle showcased depth and unselfish play. Paige Bixby led the way with 12 points, but it was the collective effort that proved too much for the Lady Lopes to overcome. Ell Robinson, Allie Ashley, and Addison McCoid each added 8 points, keeping constant pressure on Abernathy throughout the contest.
The Ettes controlled the tempo early and never allowed Abernathy to find sustained rhythm on the offensive end. Their defensive intensity turned into transition opportunities, while their half court execution created quality looks across the lineup.
Abernathy was paced by Kendall Miller, who led all scorers with 18 points. Despite her strong outing, the Lady Lopes struggled to match Panhandle’s depth and defensive consistency.
With the win, Panhandle advances to the Regional Semifinals where they will face Ropes in Dimmitt on Monday night at 7:30 PM. The Ettes now sit just two wins away from a trip to the State Tournament and continue their pursuit of the ultimate goal.
The margin for error narrows from here. But if Thursday night is any indication, Panhandle’s balance and defensive commitment make them a serious threat to make it to San Antonio.
