West Texas Volleyball Weekend Roundup: Liberty, Amarillo High, Randall, and Andrews Keep Rolling

With playoff races coming into focus across the South Plains and Panhandle, several area teams delivered statement wins over the weekend. Amarillo High, Liberty, Randall, and Sanford-Fritch all continued their dominant runs atop their respective districts, while Andrews secured a crucial five-set victory to stay perfect in 3-4A.


District 3-5A


Amarillo High sweeps Lubbock High to stay perfect in district play


The Lady Sandies continued their dominant run, taking care of Lubbock High in straight sets (25-7, 25-4, 25-9) to move to 27-9 on the season and 13-0 in district.

The Lady Rebels stayed hot, rolling past Monterey (25-13, 25-13, 25-13) in a clean sweep, clinching their spot in the 5A Division 1 playoffs.

After an extremely hard-fought battle between two tough teams, the Lady Mustangs pulled off a 3-2 victory over Greenwood (25-19, 22-25, 18-25, 25-22, 15-13) to move to 6-0 in District 3-4A. The win gives Andrews a stranglehold on the district race and officially clinches a playoff berth in Class 4A Division I.
