Bushland Falcon Jaxon Lawler put together a huge day at the UIL State Track Meet.

Lawler opened the morning by earning his first ever State medal with a bronze medal toss of 178-5 in the discus.

Then in the afternoon… he took over the shot put.

Lawler grabbed the lead early with a throw of 56-1 on his second attempt and never looked back.

His best throw of the day came on attempt number four with a launch of 57-2 1/4 to claim gold.
