MaxPreps Names Quentin Gibson 2024 Texas Player of the Year

Quentin Gibson, a Colorado Buffalo commit, has been named the 2024 Texas Player of the Year by MaxPreps after an extraordinary senior season.

The wide receiver turned heads with his remarkable performance, finishing the year with:
• 93 receptions
• 2,009 yards (9th all-time in Texas state history)
• 36 touchdowns (4th all-time in Texas state history)
In addition to his impressive numbers, Gibson set a new record for the DFW area, breaking Jaxon Smith-Njigba’s previous mark for touchdown receptions.
Gibson’s historic season cements his place among Texas football’s all-time greats, and his future with the Colorado Buffaloes looks bright.
