With just 10 seconds remaining and the game seemingly destined for overtime, Frenship goalkeeper Bella Medrano—an Abilene Christian commit—launched a towering free kick from 53 yards out. As the ball sailed into the box, a Tiger attacker rose above the crowd and delivered a thunderous header past the Southlake Carroll keeper, sending the Frenship faithful into a frenzy.

The match had been a defensive battle throughout, with both teams trading possessions but struggling to break through in the final third. Medrano and the Frenship backline stood tall, weathering Southlake Carroll’s offensive pushes and keeping the clean sheet intact.

As time ticked down, the Tigers refused to settle. Their persistence paid off with one of the most dramatic finishes in program history. The final whistle blew just moments after the goal, sealing Frenship’s place in the next round and igniting wild celebrations on the field.

With the victory, Frenship punches their ticket to the Regional Quarterfinals, carrying momentum and confidence after an unforgettable championship performance.

Next stop: a shot at even more postseason glory. But for now, the Tigers will savor a moment they’ll never forget.
