There Are New Queens of District 5-4A

In a thrilling showdown last night, the Lubbock Cooper Liberty Lady Patriots went on the road and swept Levelland in straight sets (25-10, 25-10, 25-18), clinching the District 5-4A Championship.


From the first serve, Liberty set the tone with an impressive 7-0 run to start Game 1, leaving Levelland scrambling for a response. The Lady Pirates maintained their momentum, controlling the match from start to finish never allowing Levelland to find their rhythm.

Stat Leaders:


- Ryleigh Conner: led the charge with a commanding 11 kills, showcasing her ability to find gaps in Levelland's defense.

- Madi Heider: contributed significantly with 8 kills, along with 3 digs and 2 aces, proving to be a key player in both offense and defense.

- Kennedy Ezell: anchored the back row with 29 digs

- Campbell Beeler: had a great all around performance with 9 digs while adding 3 kills and 2 aces to her impressive stat line.

- Jacelyn Gestes: orchestrated the offense with 16 assists, complemented by 3 digs and 4 aces, facilitating seamless plays that kept Levelland on their toes.

- Ellis Roberts: added depth to the attack with 6 kills, consistently finding ways to score.

- Abby Dallas: rounded out the contributions with 6 digs and 3 kills, providing crucial support on both sides of the net.

This victory marks an important milestone for the Lady Patriot volleyball program, as they clinched back to back district titles in just their second year of existence. Coach Anderson’s leadership and the team's dedication were evident as they look poised to make another deep playoff run.
