Canyon’s Carson Allen Commits to Tarleton State Baseball

CANYON, TX — One of Texas high school baseball’s rising stars, Carson Allen, has officially committed to Tarleton State University. The talented infielder from Canyon High School, a member of the Class of 2026, announced his decision to join the Texans program, adding to the university’s growing pool of young, high-caliber talent.

Allen’s sophomore year with the Canyon Eagles was nothing short of spectacular. He earned first-team honors from both the Texas Sports Writers Association and the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association (THSBCA) after slashing an impressive .374 at the plate. His offensive stats included 12 doubles, four home runs, and 29 RBIs, highlighting his ability to drive in runs and deliver in clutch situations.
A true dual-threat, Allen also demonstrated his speed on the basepaths, swiping 13 stolen bases during the 2024 season. His athleticism and consistency made him a cornerstone of Canyon’s lineup and an invaluable contributor in their historic campaign.
The Eagles’ 2024 season was one for the record books, as they advanced to the state tournament for the first time in 21 years. Allen’s leadership and standout performances played a pivotal role in the team’s success, helping elevate the program to new heights.
