Georgia Lambert Commits to UTPB Softball
Class of 2026 | Andrews High School

The pipeline of West Texas softball talent to the next level continues to grow, and Andrews' own Georgia Lambert is the latest to make her college dreams a reality.
The Class of 2026 standout has officially committed to continue her academic and athletic career at the University of Texas–Permian Basin (UTPB), an NCAA Division II program in Odessa.
Lambert, a two-way force for the Lady Mustangs, turned heads throughout the 2024–25 season. In the circle, she posted a dominant 21–4 record with 119 strikeouts in 122 ⅓ innings pitched. At the plate, she was just as dangerous, hitting .367 with 8 home runs and 42 RBIs.
Her power was on full display during the postseason, where she launched four home runs in a single state semifinal game, one of the most memorable performances of the UIL playoffs.
Behind her efforts, Andrews made history with a run to the UIL Class 4A State Championship Game, finishing the year with an impressive 37–9 overall record.
Georgia’s commitment to UTPB adds another major milestone to an already decorated career and ensures she’ll stay close to home as she continues to grow her game at the collegiate level.
Congratulations to Georgia Lambert, her family, and the entire Andrews softball community on this incredible accomplishment!
