Long time Sod Poodles fans saw a familiar face tonight on the mound, as Luis Patiño returned to Hodgetown for the first time since 2019, this time to face his old team. The Soddies came into Wednesday riding a season-high four game winning streak.

The Series opener against San Antonio was a standoff from the start. Starters Avery Short and Jagger Haynes weren’t perfect by any means most of the night but perfection isn’t necessary in a game like this.

The Amarillo Sod Poodles are back in action at Hodgetown this week against the Missions! Fresh off a 4-2 series victory in Tulsa and three straight victories on the weekend, the Soddies are up against a Missions team that they lead the season series against 5-4.
